Major Clinical Project and Presentation

A. Choose a population at your field practicum site in need of clinical intervention. Specifically, a population whose problems may lead to a mental illness(es). For example, victims of rape or domestic violence may suffer from Post‐Traumatic Stress Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder and other mental illnesses. The disorder(s) must be congruent with disorders in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.

K. Describe evidence‐based treatment approaches with this population, and how the intervention is evaluated to determine its effectiveness. For example, individual therapy coupled with enrollment in an Alcoholics Anonymous group may be more effective than individual therapy exclusively with an individual suffering from substance abuse.
