This week is a bit of a combo week. As you are finishing up your rhetorical analysis paper, you are also getting started on our next big project—your Career Portfolio. Please be sure to read through the Career Portfolio Assignment Prompt carefully—there are 6 different parts, each of which will be graded at the end of this course, so be sure to ask questions if anything is confusing. If you have not read it yet, make sure to do so before you start drafting this essay.

For this drafting memo, you will start drafting your Resume or CV, which you draft is dependent on your career choice. If you are going to work outside of the United States, going into teaching or the academic field, then you will need a CV. For most other jobs, a resume will suffice. If you have a resume already, feel free to submit that—ultimately the goal to receive feedback on this document.

Submission Guidelines:

Your Drafting Memo should be uploaded as a word.doc file to Blackboard and should be a minimum of 250 words (remember that this is the minimum to earn credit—a thoughtful response will be longer). Your submission does not need to be in MLA format, but this is an excellent opportunity for you to practice MLA formatting for your upcoming essay, so I recommend that you attempt to format your essay according to MLA format
