I’m working on a nursing writing question and need support to help me learn.

I would like some assistance in preparing a scholarship letter. It is the Sr. Mary Fenton Joseph Scholarship, it is a nursing scholarship for rising seniors. Below I have some research I did on the sister that sponsors the scholarship and a little background on myself and my family financial situation that can possibly be implemented into the letter. 

Sister Mary Fenton Joseph Fitzpatrick – she pioneered for the nursing educated as I do for my family

Her ministry was in educating young children and she loved storytelling

• One of my favorite things to do to pass time throughout middle school and high was tutoring children
• 50 years established junior college during the great depression (Gwynedd Mercy University) 
• During the great depression issues with nursing were very little education, long working hours, and not enough nurses as staff
  • over-production of nurses and high unemployment led to higher educational requirements, shorting working hours and staffing in hospitals 
  • toward the end of the depression there were advances in education, new occupational fields in nursing and advancements in medicine. – Brighter future for nursing 
• I’ve assisted in educating/tutoring children through middle school and high school
• I volunteered in the community/soup kitchen’s growing up
• I have always been an honor student/Dean’s List
• 1st gen graduate – inspired my mother to go back to school and get her GED. 
• I have been head of household on multiple occasions, starting at the age of 16 (not sure if that is relevant). 
• My mother has been out of work for a few years, related to an injury that has caused her to remain out of work. 
• I have been the sole bread winner and it has been challenging to keep up with bills and pay for university fees. 
• Single parent household
• Majority of my family look to me under almost every circumstance. Even more recently knowing I am in Nursing school, LOL!
• My goal is to finish nursing school, gain experience and further my education in either Nurse Anesthetist or Nurse Practitioner. 
• Draw a connection with education. Sr. Mary ministry in education and my volunteer work with children in education. 
• Mention mom becoming a mother at young age (17), requiring her to drop out of school to provide for her family. With my upcoming graduation in May 2022 my mother has felt inspired to return to school and complete her GED.
