Consider the social groups you have been a part of; family, friends, teams, and work. What differs in the way a true leader manages a large group of employees, what traits are needed from a strong CEO in order to successfully grow a company (such as humility and leadership), compared to leaders who run companies with an iron hand?

Groups in numbers can provide many benefits including; safety, solidifying feelings of belonging, and can make difficult tasks easier, however, group behavior is not always pro-social. Think of what you might have seen recently in the news. Consider the role deindividuation plays in the rioting after George Floyd’s death or the January 6th insurrection at the White House.
