• Essays must incorporate at least 3 short stories
• Essays must follow MLA formatting conventions
• Essays must be 4-6 pages long with standard margins and ARIAL 12 pt font
• Writers must set up at least one (1) conference with me to discuss their topic
• Writers must consult the textbook for “Literary Responding”

Evaluation of the paper will be based upon (1) focus of a main, controlling idea, (2) development of ideas, (3) organization, (4) incorporation of literary works in your response, (5) coherence, and (6) correctness. You do not need to have outside works for this paper, but you will need to do a Works Cited page (this page is excluded from your overall page length).
