Journal reflection

At the start of class professor f. handed out a three question assignment which was mainly about things we would do as a public school teacher. Once we were done answering the questions a few of my peers volunteered to read what they wrote. One thing that one of my peers said that really stood out, was when he talked about bullying. That bullying is a major problem in public schools and need to be addressed more often. We also Practiced how to read in class as if we were reading in front of children, learning how to use high pitch, low pitch voices. We also went back to the steps in reading aloud handout as our guide. One thing we focused on in the handout was tapping into schema, which is giving background knowledge of the book before reading it. Once we were done with that professor f. talked about upcoming assignments that will be due for next class.
