Choose either two or three of the following short films from the Looking at Movies: Short Films page, at the Looking at Movies student site, InQuizitive (Links to an external site.). (You can sign up for a free 21 day trial) Bartholomew’s Song, Dreamscapes, Passengers, Spam-Ku, The Strip Mall Trilogy. Each of these includes a commentary track by the filmmakers, in some cases more than one track. Watch the films with these commentaries after you’ve screened the films on their own first. Consider the thought processes that go into conveying meaning even in films as short as five or ten minutes. What have you learned about the relationship between form and content after watching these short films with their commentaries and interviews?
