Week 4 Assignment – Advertising
Social Media, Radio, video, and television, when done well, can bring your message to life. Always monitor the results of your advertising to see what’s working and how you can make your marketing dollars go further. At one time print ads and brochures were the most common forms of advertising, whereas billboards, banners, and signs were somewhat overlooked.
This class covers the traditional forms of advertising only. Social Media Marketing is covered in other Business classes offered by the University.
Radio and television are both important and effective media for marketing/communications. Yet they differ greatly in many, many ways.
Read chapters 11, 12 and 13 to assist with this assignment. This assignment consists of two parts: A written paper and a 5-slide PowerPoint presentation complete with graphics and author’s notes.
First, in a minimum of 250 words (excluding the title and reference pages), in IWG Format with at least three references, and answer the following two questions.
1. Discuss thoroughly the advantages and disadvantages of radio and Television
2. Based on your opinion what are the advantages or disadvantages of Social Media (Facebook, Tweeter, Youtube, FourSquare, etc.) to advertise a product/service.
