In this assignment, you are to assume the role of the Assistant Park Manager. You have been directed by the Park Manager to analyze the current financial situation of the park and propose an annual budget for the upcoming fiscal year. You will submit your analysis in the form of a memo addressed to the park manager.

Read Chapters 9 and 10 in Finkler et al. (2016).

1. Review the assignment rubric.
2. Read the Stratton Township Park Case.
3. Complete the Stratton Township Park Spreadsheet based on the information provided in the Stratton Township Park Case. Then formulate your responses to the Stratton Township Park Case questions applying the analysis from the completed spreadsheets and taking into account impact on citizens and important public interest and ethical values. NOTE: When you enter your calculations into your spreadsheet, you must use formulas – for example, do not simply use your calculator to do the calculations and then enter the results.
4. Write a 4-6 page memo addressed to the Park manager that includes explanations of your budget documents and analysis and addresses the questions from the case. Your responses to the questions should apply the financial analysis from your completed spreadsheet and take into account impact on citizens and important public interest and ethical values.The budgets you prepare and variance analysis you perform should be presented in a spreadsheet attached to your memo. Include your proposed annual program budget for the upcoming fiscal year and support why you believe this budget is appropriate. Submit the completed spreadsheets with your memo.
5. Include the spreadsheets you created in Step 1 as appendices. Place any other supportive information you choose to include in the appendix.
