Business Finance Homework Help. Week 8 Project

Mr. Vanderleigh would like you to turn in another deliverable at the end of week 8 to make sure you are on track. This deliverable will include the following items:

  • Project Charter
  • Stakeholder analysis
  • Weighted Matrix
  • Mind Map
  • Initial Cost Estimate
  • Task List

Mr. Vanderleigh will review your materials with the Ambroses and they will reach out to you with any questions or feedback they may have. You can respond to questions using the Stakeholder discussion forum or email.

Information:

The next item on the agenda is to create both a project plan and a cost estimate of the development of the show. You are to create a mind-map of a minimum of 60 project tasks and an additional 8 milestones that will take us from the concept through the end of the first week of production (where the tasks become repetitive).

I need to see the NPV, ROI, PA, critical path, task list, Gantt chart, network diagram, PERT analysis of estimates for profitability. You should use the following (plus the case data from the videos and the results of a survey regarding both which play to choose and ideas regarding revenue earned per week,)

The project should start today and we need to be up and running within 9 months. You need to consider at least 75 cast members (actors/actresses), 100 stage hands (various skills), a 30 piece orchestra, and assorted other workers at your discretion. All theater workers are supplied by the theater management company including ticket sales, food vendors, ushers, cleaning crews, and security. The theater is paid a flat fee of $75000 per week plus 5% of gross ticket sales for the entire run of the show.

Seating 1682 seats per show with an average cost (consider matinees. Premium shows, and comps all rolled in) of $78 per seat. Assume that the show will sell out for the first six months six operating days per week (most theatres are closed one day per week) and that after six months the weekend shows (7 per weekend – including Thursdays) will sell out and that the other 4 shows will sell at 88% capacity.

My estimate for production costs from concept to first show are estimated at $4.8 million dollars.

My estimate of weekly costs of the show will be $485,000 each week the show runs. YOU NEED TO DEVELOP YOUR OWN ESTIMATES – mine could be wrong.

Royalty payments to the authors/play writes/ song writers will be 4.6% of the gross in total until the show achieves payback and then 6% of the gross receipts there-after.

You must also consider the stakeholder positions and other payouts required.

You should adjust these as you see fit based on your estimates, case studies, etc.

All project estimates should be done in MS Project.
