Prokaryotic replication has circular double stranded DNA, and eukaryotic replication has linear stranded DNA with an end. Both processes of replicating DNA in both organisms are nearly identical in that it is replicated by the enzyme DNA polymerase. Also, Prokaryotes divide by binary fission while eukaryotes divide through mitosis and reproduce sexually through meiosis. The important distinction here is that a Prokaryote’s offspring are identical to the parent, barring mutations of course, while sexual reproduction allows the offspring of eukaryotes to carry traits of both of it’s parents.
