- Use two stock prices (share prices) from a source that includes open, close, high, and low prices on a daily basis
- Analyze the data using appropriate plots
- including but not limited to trend, seasonal, seasonal sub-series, scatter, etc.
- Identify the need for and apply data transformation as appropriate
- show why we need or do not need the transformations
- Develop forecasts (point and interval) for test data
- use at least one other forecasting technique in addition to the forecast function
- perform appropriate checks e.g. residual checks to select the best forecasting method
- Use your selected method and develop forecasts for every weekday (one day at a time)
- compare your forecast with the actual closing price
- evaluate the model using appropriate tests and update the model as needed
