The “What is morality?” chapter from The Elements of Moral Philosophy chapter had three main cases: baby Theresa, Jody and Mary, and Tracey Lattimer. Here are two discussion prompts about those cases.

1. From one of the cases, pick an argument (that is, a conclusion supported by reasons) or an important case that you either agree with or disagree with and explain why you agree or disagree. Explain the argument or claim in detail, so anyone could understand it (even if they weren’t in the class) and then fully explain why you agree or disagree. 
2. From another readings or topic beyond the Elements of Moral Philosophy chapter, pick an argument (that is, a conclusion supported by reasons) or an important case that you either agree with or disagree with and explain why you agree or disagree. Explain the argument or claim in detail, so anyone could understand it (even if they weren’t in the class) and then fully explain why you agree or disagree. 

Each response should be at least 150 words.
