Mathematics Homework Help. Need to calculate an hourly average for each hour of the day
I need to calculate an hourly average for a bunch of numbers that occurred at different dates and times throughout 2 years. I was able to get the overall average easy using the totals (total of numbers/17520 where 17520 = 365 days/yr * 2 yrs * 24 hrs/day or 6439/17520 = .37 hourly average. Now the tough part…I need to find the average for hour 00:00, 01:00 and so on through 23:00. Do I total the numbers in each hour (say 00:00) and still divide by 17520?
