Analyze the story of Gilgamesh, identifying themes found in it. There are several and some are more obvious than others. Which themes were you able to identify, and how do they compare with themes in other stories (myths, legends, movies, novels, comic books, etc…) you are familiar with? Provide examples. 

 In what ways can you relate to Gilgamesh as a person? Have you experienced periods of success followed by periods of despair or failure? This is a rather personal question but don’t be afraid to answer it. How did Gilgamesh deal with the ups and downs in his life? What lessons does he provide for us?
