Budget Cycle Memo

Congratulations, you have been hired as the Budget Director of a small city that has just elected new City Council members. To get everyone on the same page, you will explain the process you will institute in your new role.

Please conduct research to determine the procedures and protocols associated with current public sector organizations that correlate with the assignments instructions below to help you draft your Memorandum.

Write a 700- to 1,050-word memo, based on the sample Memorandum (See Attached), that describes the budget cycle and includes the following three points:

• Details on the development, execution, and evaluation of the cycle (be specific about the process)

• An explanation of who is responsible or involved in each aspect of the budget cycle

• A description of revenue available to the government and how it is to be used
