The midterm exam is the Part 1 of an application-based exam project. Students will lead/manage the creation of an asset-based response to an equity issue (topic) impacting the service learning target area of Macon, GA. For example, if crime is high in Macon, then maybe community policing can be an asset, i.e., solution. It is encouraged that students select a topic or issue related to one’s career path or of interest for completing your exit research project.

The application response is in the form of a written report using the text, reading list entries, external literature, and data sources such as the U.S. Census, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Department of Education, Uniform Crime Report, etc.

Summary – This section will summarize the main sections of the report (It is similar to the Executive summary, just not word-for-word).

The presentation of the midterm exam project will be the Level 1.2a – Evaluation & Feedback Speech (5 minutes) during the Toastmasters International training meetings with the theme: The Macon, “Heart of Georgia,” Asset that I wish to Strengthen.

The evaluation page 1 will be included in the Appendix of the revised Midterm Exam Project that is included as an Appendix in the Final Exam Project.
