You will write on a topic of your choosing as long as it is related to the general subject of American political parties. This paper should be meticulously researched, well-written, steeped in empirical evidence, clearly argued, and rely on no fewer than 15 scholarly sources. The paper should demonstrate substantive knowledge of the political science field, the capacity for original thought, and mastery of the academic style of writing. It must be a minimum of 20 pages of text (excludes cover page, references, appendix).
