Reaction Papers:  Students will be required to read and write a reaction papers to selected readings provided by the instructor. The articles chosen will explore the topics of group think and cognitive bias. This paper will be 1.5-2 pages long (at most) and will provide a summary of the reading as well as your view on why the article discussed is important.  The opinion section of the paper is very important, I do not simply want a summary!   As a general rule 2/3 of the paper should be summary, 1/3 opinion/reaction. The paper must be double spaced with one-inch margins. All papers should also have an appropriate APA title and reference page. The reaction papers will constitute 22.5% of your final grade.

 The summary should be based on one of the following readings “Motivated Rejection of Science” or “The Psychology of Conspiracy Theories”, both which can be found in this weeks module.  Instructions for completing the reaction paper can be found in the syllabus.
