The main and fundamental purpose of writing a review is to create a readable synthesis of the research available in the literature. For this assignment, you are posting an abbreviated article review based on an ORIGINAL RESEARCH ARTICLE relating to health, exercise, training or physiology. The article should come from a peer-reviewed journal. (Check out this source on types of articles if you are unsure.) Please Submit your review to the this Discussion Board to post your short article review. Make sure that you are summarizing the article AND providing your own reaction and opinion on what you read.

The following items should be included in your article review:

1. Your name
2. The title and retrieval information for the article (properly formatted reference -title, author, date, issue, etc.) and the URL address and date visited if available.
   • The article review must site your source including title of the publication, edition, chapter, pages, etc. Another reader of your review should be able to locate your source and read the article without further research on their part.
3. A summary of 3-5 key points in the article and synthesizing the information. (paragraph format, discussing the points) (Do not restate the researchers’ conclusions, rather, address specific points that stood out to you about the study or findings).
4. Make sure your review addresses other considerations (if not addressed already in #3):
   • Why does this study matter?
   • What are the real life implications of the findings?
   • How “well done” would you say the study was? What are factors that contributed to your assessment?
   • Are there any limitations to the application of the results (limited population, variable restrictions, etc.)?
   • What types of follow up studies might be beneficial (if any)?
   • Anything else you’d like to add…
5. Your opinion on why you think this would be a useful article for others to read.
