Data Definition

The first step in the framework is defining the data that comprises the eCQM. This will tell you whether the data is being captured correctly in the EHR and that the data that is pulled and calculated for reporting is being done accurately.

Components of data definition include:

• Where is the required information being captured?
• What format should the data be in?
