The readings for this week (Horrill et al., 2018) really focus on barriers that Indigenous people may face when trying to access health care services. I also present some specific examples of challenges that Indigenous people in Northern BC spoke about when trying to access eyecare services.

As part of this exercise, consider what equitable access to heath care services might look like for Indigenous peoples. Please name three barriers to care that you learned about in this module and suggest a potential solution or way of improving access to care for each of these barriers.
