This exam will cover:

i. Chapters 9.5, 9.6 (current-mirror loaded differential amplifiers and multistage amplifiers)

ii. The whole Chapter 10 except for Chapter 10.7.2 (frequency responses of current-mirror loaded differential amplifiers)

iii. Feedback discussions until the end of Chapter 11.3. Study for only “voltage input-voltage output” amplifiers with feedback (a.k.a., amplifiers with series-shunt feedback). Practically, for the Feedback topic make sure to know what the general feedback structure is; what closed-loop gain, open-loop gain, feedback amount, and loop gain are; how negative feedback improves the properties of an amplifier; how to analyze a feedback circuit using the “loop-gain method” and find the loop gain, beta, open-loop gain, and closed-loop gain.

Note on current-mirror-loaded differential amplifiers: In Midterm, you are responsible from current-mirror-loaded differential amplifiers of Chapter 9.5. However, you are NOT responsible from the frequency-response of current-mirror-loaded differential amplifiers of Chapter 10.7.2
