In Part I, individual student is required to research on the wireless transmission characteristics and requirements for current 4G-LTE standard and the emerging 5G-eMBB standard. Focus should be given to the transmission characteristics including the carrier frequency band, representative modulation formats, target data transmission rate, as well as, the signal loss in wireless channel. For Part I, the students will submit their individual research report electronically via Blackboard assignment link and give a short summary presentation of their findings in class.
