Economics Homework Help. 401K matching is it free money?
“You have just won a free car!!” Everyone would
love to hear those words, but is anything ever truly free? Milton Freedman
seems to think that everything carries a cost. I have often heard some of my
coworkers speak about our 401K program and comment how the company match is
“free” money. It is common place for large companies to match, up to
a limit, a employees contribution to the 401K program. Is this money truly
free? What are your thoughts? What about a vesting schedule?
