Module 6: Research Project Essay and Discussion

This week, you will research the protest process in government contracting. Afterward, write an essay responding to the questions below. To answer the questions, please conduct research beyond the textbook from this course – for example, utilize Web sources, resources at your public library, and your professional networks. Your essay should be in a two-page document that you will upload to this discussion board. 

Protest

In general, explain the importance of the protest process in federal procurements. Why would a contractor file a protest? What are the two different areas a contractor can protest? What stages of the procurement process can a contractor protest? What is the difference between a federal claim and dispute? Where and why would a contractor appeal a protest decision?
