The History Research paper will consist of a topic pertaining to U.S. Military History from 1775 to present, any event, battle, tactic, person – submit topic to SGA for review and approval.- The paper is formatted IAW APA (Times New Roman, size-12 font and double-spaced throughout).- You are required to have a thesis (opinion regarding the topic). Your thesis must be clearly stated and focused. Your thesis must be included in your paper as the last sentence of your introduction paragraph, and restated in your conclusion paragraph.- Refer to Perdue Owl for USASMA approved APA guidance at: (https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01).- Minimum five pages and not more than eight pages; not including the title page, references page, or any appendices used – minimum of three references. APA requires the use of citations to credit all sources listed in the references.- No use of pictures, diagrams, charts or sketches within the five-eight pages of the main body of the paper.- Pictures, diagrams, charts and sketches will be added to appendices, if used. NOTE: If you use any of the aforementioned (charts, photos, etc.) in your paper, then it must be properly cited in the body of your paper, and on your reference page. Charts, photographs, etc. must be linked to your paper, and will not be added as fluff.- Minimum of four Level One Headings (including Conclusion).- Paper will be submitted in Blackboard or your paper will not be graded. – You must achieve an 80% to receive a passing grade.
